On 27^th February 2011, Foreign Language – Information Technology center, Academy of Finance in coordination with IIG Vietnam held TOEIC international seminar – “ International assessment standard and methods for achieving the standard” at Hall 700”, Academy of Finance.

Participating in the seminar, there are: as for Academy of Finance  Associate Professor. Dr. Hoang Tran Hau – Academy’s Deputy Director Dr. Chuc Anh Tu – Deputy director and teachers of Foreign Language – Information Technology center; as for IIG Vietnam, Mr. Doan Hong Nam – President and training department staffs.

 On behalf of Academy of Finance (AoF), Associate Pro. Dr. Hoang Tran Hau highlighted the importance of foreign language, especially English with international standard to students in general and AoF students in particular because English is the key for AoF students to open the door to a professional and competitive working environment in the future. “English is a tool that helps getting  access to a valuable knowledge resources and skills for effective working performance”. “It’s TOEIC that Academy of Finance has chosen for graduation requirement .And for students of the class of 48 onwards 400 TOEIC is set for the graduation requirement of the whole academy.  At the seminar, IIG Vietnam’s representatives provided helpful information about graduation requirement standard for both undergraduates and postgraduates as well as solutions to obtain the standard. Detailed information about TOEIC test, effective learning materials, tools and method drewgreat attention  and interest from AoF’s students.

The seminar finished successfully with lots of fruitful information for AoF students in general and students of class 48 in particular.. They now have knowledge and understanding about the international test – TOEIC as well as its benefits which can help students to enhance their English standard, meet the labor market demand and integrate into an increasingly competitive working environment in the future.
