Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) and IIG Vietnam signed a MOU about standardizing English language for IUH’s teachers and students on 9^th October 2014 in Ho Chi Minh City with the TOEIC test. The participants of the ceremony included Dr. Nguyen Thien Tue – Vice Principal, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Van Tan – Vice Principal, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Chi Thanh – Vice Principal, Mr. Doan Hong Nam – President, IIG Vietnam and the staff of two parties.

IUH is trying to enhance English teaching and learning quality to be a leading, reputational and modern training institution in Vietnam, reach the regional standard and supply the demand for high quality human resources.

The MOU between IUH and IIG Vietnam will be effective from the 2014 – 2015 school year. Accordingly, IUH will apply the TOEIC benchmark of 400 points for university students and 350 points for college students. IIG Vietnam will assist IUH in organizing the TOEIC test for admission and graduation purposes. To support IUH in applying the English language benchmark, IIG Vietnam will provide IUH with the Sanako Lab software and English Discoveries Online (EDO), to increase the interactivity and refresh the English teaching and learning methods in IUH, giving an opportunity to students and teachers to enhance their English language proficiency anytime, anywhere at a low price.

Together with helping students improving their English language proficiency, IIG Vietnam will also organize teacher workshops for the TOEIC test, in order to provide the tools, skills and methods for effective English language training.
