On 8^th October 2011, IIG Vietnam – the country representative of ETS in Vietnam and the Foreign Language faculty, the Science faculty of Hai Duong Vocational College co-organized the seminar on “Introduction of international standard English proficiency assessment – TOEIC”. The seminar is aimed at introducing Hai Duong Vocational College’s students and teachers about the TOEIC test and TOEIC adoption for the English assessment.

The seminar witnessed the presence of Mr. Vice Rector – Dr. Vu Hoai An –together with teachers and students of the university. Aware of the importance of English training and specialist knowledge, Hai Duong Vocational College as a human resource provider always aims at international standard English – TOEIC for meeting social demand in general and recruiters’ in particular.

Under “Foreign language teaching and learning in education system 2008 – 2020 period” project and 2196/BGDDT – GDDH document (Ministry of Education & Training) on the instruction of building and announcing graduation requirement, Hai Duong Vocational College students are determined to meet the output requirements including IT and foreign language. Ms. Vu Hoai Thu  – Head of Foreign Language department shared the univeristy’s goals and plans for building TOEIC-oriented curriculum that business students have to obtain 300-350 TOEIC, which will facilitate their route to the future success. At the seminar, IIG Vietnam’s representative provided a lot of helpful information about TOEIC test, helping Hai Duong Vocational College’s teachers and students to have deep insight into TOEIC and its importance in English assessment in international workplace.
