On 14^th October 2011, IIG Vietnam’s representatives had a meeting with Haiphong Private University’s Managing Board and representatives of the university’s falcuties and departments on implementing IT benchmark – Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) as the graduation requirement for the university’s students.

At the meeting, the two parties together discussed the status quo of Haiphong Private University’s IT training, methods of implementing IT benchmark – MOS and advantages and disadvantages facing the university during the implementing process as well. With the determination to improve quality of graduates – the prerequisite factor for raising Haiphong Private University’s position is to provide qualified labor force for the society. Therefore, international standard oriented training is one of its first priorities.

Concluding the meeting, the two parties have reached an important advance in implementing MOS benchmark for students’ graduation requirement. However, to enter the cooperation contract, the two parties would need further discussion to find out solutions for the common difficulties, giving the university’s students more advantages in the increasingly competitive labor market.

With MOS implementation, Haiphong Private University’s representative also expressed the desire to host Microsoft Office World Champion 2012 in Haiphong city.
